Although fusion is the preferred method of Cossu Salon, we celebrate all the Latest Hair Extension Trends. This “Braid-less Sew In” method actually made its debut for seasoned extensionists in the 90s as Hair LOCK, and has made a strong comeback in various names with slightly different techniques. Tape In extensions is the most affordable method of hair extensions. Unlike most machine or hand tied wefts, this weft has a clear band that blends with the natural hairline, and creates instant volume. It is also the fastest method, but more difficult to achieve a clean easy removal and is not safe for fine hair because of the distribution of weight. It is the personal recommendation of Cossu Salon that a person with thinning, fragile, or superfine thin hair, NOT to use this method. Tape in extensions are best for thick hair.

I-Tip extensions can best be described as “Re-useable Fusion Extensions.” These extensions also have bonded tips, and also applied in small sections of the hair. However, they are secured to the hair with bead-like tubes and not heated Keratin.

Hand tied Hair Extensions is not a method. It is a type of hair extension used in a beaded row- non braided sew in method. The hair is weft is very thin and tied together by hand and not run through a machine. The purpose of these tiny thin wefts is to easily blend multiple colors together without the bulk. This special type of hair is very expensive because of its personalized customization. However, the same thing can also be achieved by splitting the machine weft. When Hand tied hair is used, it cannot be cut, and 4-6 of these thin pieces are sewn onto each row. This type of hair is recommended for thin hair types.
